The continent Ella, once blessed by Ove, with endless harmony and resources, got infested by a mysterious Star in the sky, that awakened evil energy and emotions inside those that were exposed to it, the so-called “Nav”. A tower was built, higher than anything that ever was built before. The followers of “Nav” changed the blessed light of Ove, to Nav’s light. And so chaos reigned upon Ella.

In OVE: The Sword of Liberation you have a difficult journey ahead, in this souls-like action-adventure you must defeat many bosses that can be quite challenging.
Carefully blocking, also refered to as the “perfect guard”, the use of your special abilities, and your sword, are key parts to winning any battle. Every small mistake can mean the end of your life.
As Elia embarks on her journey, she must bring down enemies and gather Nav’s trace, that helps her grow stronger and equip herself with accessories and items for adventure.
The enemies she faces have their own unique characteristics and gimmicks, but Elia has a secret weapon. OVEs and skills are scattered throughout the map. By combining them in different ways, she can attack her enemies and defeat them.
Each ability has its own unique characteristics, and players can change Elia’s fighting style by spending the ability points they acquire through the adventure.
Elia’s ultimate goal is to defeat the army of the tower and free Ella. The game has beautiful art and is overall very atmospheric.
