  2. Remastered Not Necessary
  3. Still a Good Game

While it’s fair to say that the original release of Outer Worlds was a great game, the remastered edition that was released on March 7 received a barrage of negative reviews on platforms like Steam. In this article, we will explore the reasons behind the negative reviews and explain why the remastered edition fell short of expectations.

Performance

Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition was expected to deliver an enhanced gaming experience compared to the original release. However, it failed to live up to expectations when it came to performance. Many players have reported that the game runs poorly, even on high-end gaming PCs, and that the performance issues have severely impacted their overall gaming experience.

One Steam user, in particular, reported that the game runs “absolutely terribly” on their system, which includes a GTX 1080, Ryzen 7 3800, 32GB RAM, and an SSD. This is a top-of-the-line gaming setup, and yet the game still fails to run smoothly.

The negative feedback regarding the game’s performance has sparked outrage among gamers, who expected to be able to fully enjoy the game on their high-end systems. Many have taken to social media and gaming forums to express their disappointment with the game’s optimization issues.

Remastered Not Necessary

The question of whether the remastered edition of Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice was really necessary has been raised by many players who were disappointed by the game’s poor performance and lack of new features. Despite the hype surrounding the remastered edition, it failed to live up to expectations and left many players wondering why it was even released in the first place.

While it’s true that players who already owned the original release of Outer Worlds were offered a discounted price of 10$ to upgrade to the remastered edition, this still didn’t sit well with many players. The fact that the remastered edition added nothing new and had significant performance issues left players feeling that even the discounted upgrade price was not worth it as it was rather a downgrade than upgrade.

Many players felt that the developers should have put more effort into improving the game and adding new content, rather than simply re-releasing the same game with a few minor updates. The fact that the developers still priced the game at $60, even with the discounted upgrade option, only added insult to injury.

Still a Good Game

Despite the performance issues and lack of new content in the remastered edition of Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice, it’s important to note that the game itself is still a good game. The original release of the game was well-received by both players and critics, and the two DLCs that were released for the game, Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos, have been widely praised.

If the developers are able to fix the performance issues that have plagued the remastered edition, then the game is still a good option for both new and old players. For new players who have never experienced the game before, the original release is still available and is a great way to experience the game without the performance issues that have been reported in the remastered edition.
