In Heartopia, a thriving garden is the key to mastering the culinary arts and earning steady Gold. However, the game doesn’t hand you every seed at once. If you have been searching the wild for seeds or crops, you will not be successful. All listed seeds in here will be available for purchase.
Whether you are looking to brew Tea, bake a Strawberry Cake, or make the famous Grape Jam, everything starts with the right seed.
This guide lists every purchasable seed at Blanc’s Gardening Shop, sorted exactly by the level you need to unlock them, along with the best strategies for using them.
Stage 1: The Starter Crops (Levels 1-3)
These are your foundational crops. You will likely rely on these for your first few in-game weeks to grind XP and cook basic recipes like Salads and or Pies.
- Tomato (Level 1): Available immediately. Needed for Seafood Risotto, Rustic Ratatouille & Tomato Sauce
- Potato (Level 1): Also available from the start. Needed for Fish and Chips & Rustic Ratatouille.
- Wheat (Level 2): Unlock this as soon as possible. You will need Wheat for most advanced meals, including: Cheesecake, Smoked Fish Bagel, Seafood Risotto, Black Truffle Cream Pasta, Penny Bun Pie, Black Truffle Pie, Mushroom Pie, Oyster Mushroom Pie, Shiitake Pie & Button Mushroom Pie
- Lettuce (Level 3): Takes a while to grow but is worth a lot. Needed for Rustic Ratatouille (more to come)
Strategy Tip: Do not stop growing Wheat just because you unlocked Lettuce. Stockpile it!
Stage 2: The Cash Crops (Levels 4-6)
Once you hit Level 4, the economy of your garden changes. You gain access to high-value fruits and vegetables that are essential for “Tier 2” cooking requests.
- Pineapple (Level 4): Needed for Pineapple Jam, quick grow and good fast XP.
- Carrot (Level 5): Needed for Carrot Cake.
- Strawberry (Level 6): A massive unlock. Needed for Strawberry Jam.
- Corn (Level 6): Unlocked alongside Strawberries. A versatile vegetable that sells well on its own. Needed for Corn Soup.
Stage 3: The Vineyard & Veggies (Levels 7-8)
This is the “Intermediate” hump where many players get stuck. Reaching Level 7 is a major milestone because it unlocks the most important economic crop in the game: Grapes.
- Grape (Level 7): Needed for Grape Jam.
- Eggplant (Level 8): Needed for Baked Eggplant with Meat.
Stage 4: Master Tier Trees (Levels 11-13)
After a bit of a grind from Level 8 to 10, you are rewarded with “Tree” crops. These are luxury items used for the highest-tier crafting and parties.
- Tea Tree (Level 11):
- Cacao Tree (Level 12):
- Avocado (Level 13): Needed for Shrimp Avocado Cup.

FAQ: Common Questions About Heartopia Crops
Q: Can I forage for Grapes or Avocados in the wild? A: No. While you can find Apples and Raspberries by exploring the map, Grapes and Avocados are strictly farmed crops. You must buy the seeds from Blanc and grow them yourself. Do not waste time running around the map looking for them!
Q: Do Grape Seeds expire? A: No. Once you buy seeds, they stay in your inventory until planted. You can buy them in bulk to save trips to the shop.
Q: Do I need to water Trees like Cacao and Avocado? A: Yes. Even though they are trees, all crops in Heartopia require daily watering to progress the growth timer. If you forget to water them, they simply pause their growth until you return.
Q: Which crop makes the most money? A: While prices fluctuate based on what you craft, Grapes (processed into Jam) and Avocados (processed into high-tier meals) generally offer the best return on investment for your time. Starters might want to grow Lettuce and sell it.
Q: How do I level up Gardening fast to get these seeds? A: The fastest way is Volume Farming. Buy cheap seeds like Wheat, plant as many as possible, and harvest. XP is granted per harvest action, so quantity beats quality when grinding for levels.
