A.I.L.A. is a first-person horror game with 29 achievements. This guide covers all of them. Use the ToC to find specific ones, or simply follow along.
Apartment
Jonisvaldo
After you wake up from your initial nightmare in your office, you will be able to unlock this achievement right after standing up from your chair and turning around.

Right on the desk is a drawing you can pick up, this will unlock the Jonisvaldo achievement.

Purrfect Interaction
You start by exploring your apartment, after accepting the food you bring it into the kitchen, there you will be able to pet your cat Jones.

Impossible House
Collector – Item 1
The Collector achievement starts with the second Mission/Sequence, the Impossible House‘ second sequence. The location for this collectible is right behind the TV in the room with the security door and the two mannequins.

Jigsaw
You get this achievement by simply finishing the Impossible House experience.
Backup Plan
By the time you are in the Impossible House Sequence 2, you should have unlocked the achievement Backup Plan for saving at least 3 times.
Woman on the Road
After the initial intro with you going to the diner, the meteor crashing and you picking up the woman and then having a car crash, you start with “Woman on the Road”, talk to the guy from the diner, and then walk along the street lights until you see a police car. Go past it and reach the farm house, i will not give a walkthrough on that, just a quick rundown:
- Aliens everywhere, but also Ammunition so you can just kill them easily
- Theres a small knife on the top rail when you go upstairs where the grill is
- A hammer inside the head of an alien
- Behind the house you need to go until you find a white van and a locked gate
- Enter the van, fight the alien, pick up the health items and see the deceased ID cards
- Open the drivers door to reach the farm house
Collector – Item 2
Upon entering the house, you will find a bathroom on the first floor. Inside the bathroom, next to the toilet, a collectible is located in the trash bin:

After that go upstairs to the second toilet (You need a key which is in the drawer in the hallway).
Turbulent waters

This achievement unlocks when you flush the toilet a total of 3 times. Each time, there is a little sequence where you can watch the shit come back up after flushing (yummy). Do this 3 times in a row to unlock the achievement.
Later, once you reach the outside window in the front (after you have gone into the room with the red door and collected everything), you will be able to push the window open:

Pick up the items, the door handle, and the note. Read the note to find the combination needed to open the basement door:

The code is: 27 to the left, 15 to the right, and 8 to the left.
Once you reach the basement and find the bolt cutter, you will need to fight some more aliens. You will unlock the next achievement right after, killing at least 10 enemies:
Marked by Fate
Before you go to the barn with the box cutter, look to your left (outside of the farm house).

Cut through the lock. Beyond it, you’ll see a small shack glowing red with an explosive in front of it. Beware: when you get close enough, an alien will jump out of the shack to attack you. Kill it (with fire!)
DIY Legend
You will unlock this achievement by combining items, the easiest way is to just use the plants to enhance the health bottles.
Collector – Item 3
Once it is dead you go into the shack to find your next collectible!

Now go back all the way (through the white van) to get to the barn. Inside the barn, there will be a lot of ammo and health items, preparing you for what’s to come. Go upstairs and let the cinematic happen. This ambush is important because you will be able to unlock an achievement here:
One Spark, Two Graves
If you time it right, you can shoot the explosives to kill two at once. The combat in this game is not the best, so you may need to try a few times. In this barn, you might also unlock another achievement:
Medicinal Overdose
Once you find refuge in the farmhouse, grab the shotgun and kill all the annoying enemies. You will find keys to the garage, which contains a car that needs fixing. After that, go upstairs to the child’s room and look for a box:
Collector – Item 4

On the small table in the room is also another key and a letter with the combination for the lock in the basement (next to the initial entrance):

The code is: 39 to the left, 12 to the right, 39 to the left
Once you are in the basement room, pick everything up and unlock the little box on the wall, there you will also find a puzzle piece you need.
After you press the button the big mother abomination alien will come back and hunt you, like in Resident Evil. Now you have everything to go to these locations for the puzzle.
Location of all the green boxes:
- You got the first piece already
- Go upstairs and then left, on the left side is a room with a box.

- In the shotgun room downstairs are two big doors, there is the other box.

- Now you go back to the child’s room and insert the puzzle pieces.
Puzzle Solution
It’s pretty simple:

After you get the key you will be able to open the door with the pentagram, behind that door are the stairs to the attic. You need to go there.
Curiosity Department
You will unlock this achievement rather fast by just inspecting 5 items.
With Bloodied Hands
If you do not unlock this achievement in Woman on the Road, you will definitely unlock it in the Medieval experience
Collector – Item 5
In this attic you will find another collectible, here:

After this, you will find an item to pull down the garage ladder, a flare gun, and a letter stating that the monster hates fire. This triggers a sequence where the monster appears – shoot it, and then it’s stunned.Once you can move, head back to the garage and pull down the stairs from the ceiling, located to the left of the car.
This will lead you into a room with a lot of pictures on the walls and a letter next to a locked box.
This letter states that you need to use the right symbol combination to open the box, so he wrote the numbers on the pictures. The only number not written on them is the number 3, which is this picture:

After unlocking the box, you will find the key to the garage door. Go downstairs, unlock the door, and jump into the car. The next cinematic will play, and you will crash your car.
Follow the path until you get attacked by an alien in front of a shack. Your next collectible is inside this shack:
Collector – Item 6

After that just go ahead, you have to fight some more bigger aliens, once you reach the shack with all the ammunition and health items, you go out of the shack and then directly to the left, since there will be the next collectible before the boss fight:

No More Lullabies
After you killed the boss you will unlock the achievement “No More Lullabies“.
Redemption (Choice)
Right after this there will be a sequence of the mother begging you to let the baby live. If you do so, this will help you achieve the achievement “Redemption” later on.
Detective
This achievement unlocks when you finish the “Woman on the Road” experience.
After you finished the next Apartment session, you will reach the Medieval experience.
Medieval
You wake up as a knight surrounded by death, just follow the way and find your sword.
Collector – Item 8
You will find the first collectible in this experience right in the front of the castle.

The destroyed house you see in the front is the location of the collectible.

Once you progress you need to make sure to find enough small knives to do stealth kills, as you need 10 for the “Whispering Death” achievement.
Small Knives (needed for Whispering Death)
First Village




Stealth killing the first three guys is good, but it is a lot of times a real headache. You do not have to crawl all the way up, you can sprint in close distance and hit F to kill them. And if you get caught (dramatic music intensifies) you just run and hide till the dramatic music stops and try again.
Second Village




Collector – Item 9

You can find this collectible in the Second Village, there will be a mannequin in the window.
Third Village
After you reach the third village you get swarmed by a lot of zombies, jump through the window on the left (first try to lose them) to you to see the last knife you need stuck near the window.

Whispering Death
Kill the zombies that roam the villages, you should get to 10.
Medieval
Collector – Item 10
You can find the next collectible after fleeing from the undead until you lock the door. You have to go left and then all the way to the tent on the end of the area.

After that you will need to pull the middle lever, and shoot the rope of the guy in the middle, as he has the key to the blacksmith chest. You need it. Open the chest, use the item to put it near the smelter, and use the smelted ingot to create the metal star. Then combine both metal stars.
Collector – Item 11
The next collectible is inside the library if you go upstairs, to the right (in the shelf) of the paintings.

The solution for the painting puzzle is rather simple as the notes describing each one is directly telling you their locations, as an example: “Dalara the neutral“, “Simeon, Alchemist of balance“, “the shadow digger”, “Lira the Storm Hunter, […] last seen at the top of a mountain“. You just need to find out the three missing names from the paintings.
But, here is the solution:

Conephobia
This is a secret “boss” (lol) fight you can trigger to earn this achievement, once you reach the area with the people knocking and the well in the middle. You go to the only house you can enter and go upstairs. Look up, as there are 2 cones you can destroy by shooting them, and one cone on the drawer.


Conscious Glitch
Thanks to Kyo for showing me this, because I would have NEVER unlocked it. You can unlock it either before doing Conehead or after. On the left side of the house, you can walk into a side path/fork in the path and then turn left until you see a plastic chair on the hill. If you walk on the left side, you can climb up an invisible path. Read the letter.

Collector – Item 12
After heading to the church and talking to the priest do not leave directly, look for the candles on the left side of the church (when facing the priest).

Redemption (Choice)
For this achievement you need to do the right thing, and by that: Kill the guys that you come across. In the Medieval experience there are 4 guys you have to kill. The Jester, the greedy dude, the weak dude, and the king (he kills himself basically). The game leads you to all of these NPCs, so just choose the right dialogue option when talking to them.
Once you reached the castle and with that the room with the locked chest, you need to find the numbers for the symbols on the chest.
- Big Sword
- Small Sword
- Bows
You just have to count each of the weapons inside the room. There are 2 small words in the body at the door, and 1 big sword. If you follow the blood trail there is another small sword. Then you have 2 big swords on the table. Next to the chest are 4 more small swords. Turn around and you find 4 bows.

Collector – Item 13
The next collectible is inside the castle, once you placed your first weight and fought the 2 guys upstairs where the fireplace is, you see a broken floor, go along the edge of it to the corner to find your next collectible.


Collector – Item 14
The next collectible is inside a hidden catacomb which will be opened after you obtained the golden axe.

Make your way up until you are in the room with all the soldiers, in the middle of the end is a soldier with a golden axe, pick it up. Go back inside the catacombs from the beginning.

This room is now opened, go inside and grab the collectible.
Collector – Item 15
The next collectible is directly behind the King in the pile of gold on top of a chest.

This is my Boomstick!
After that you will turn around to open the big door to get the last weight you need, pick it up. Behind that is a lever you can pull, after that go back to the soldier room (where you got the golden axe from) and open the chest, pick up the shotgun and shoot it.
Collector – Item 16
The next collectible sits right on top of the chair in the witch’s shack on the top, just follow the stairs up once you are inside the shack.

After that you will have to fight the witch, as this is the end of the experience.
When you are done with her, you unlock 2 achievements.
Redemption (Choice)
By choosing to “sever the deal” you will also make progress in the Redemption achievement.

The next experience is the Ghost Ship. The first collectible you can get is on the right side in the room after you escaped your cell.
Collector – Item 17

Collector – Item 18
This collectible can be found after you spot the captain walking on board of the ship, light the lamp and grab the Ghost Figure from the dead mans hand.

The puzzle solution for the three locks are, from bottom to top:



Collector – Item 19
After you got all three purple skulls and placed them, the door will open and to the right is another door, there will be the collectible.

Collector – Item 20
As you enter the cabin of the captain you will see a big chest, open it. There will be the next collectible.

Collector – Item 21
After grabbing the last collectible you have to go outside, all the way around until you see a laptop. Go inside the cabin with all the equipment and directly outside again, then you will find the next collectible.

Redemption (Choice)
After that you will face the Captain and have to defeat him. For the Redemption achievement you need to surrender and let yourself be judged.

After AILA catches you being silly, you get sent to the next experience: Forest.
Collector – Item 22
The first collectible can be found after you climb down the rock after looking at the watchtower, if you walk down the path on the right you will see a campfire surrounded by a construction site. You will get attacked and after that you can find a pathway that goes uphill, if you look directly at the fireplace from outside: on the right, and if you are inside it’s to the left.

Walk up until you see those construction lights, next to the creature will be the collectible.
Collector – Item 23
The next collectible will be right up the watchtower on the other side if you circle it one time:

Gate Code
The gate code for the door at the watchtower is hidden inside the computers text files, as one of them mentions to keep an eye on Lily Souza. The code is the date in the School Trip Register.

Collector – Item 24
The next collectible can be found right after you fought the big tree guy at the lumber mill, walk through the opened gateway and then look to the right:

Go into these bushes, the collectible will be at the staple of wood.
Collector – Item 25
This collectible can be found once you reach the destroyed cabin in front of the tower, right to the cabin is the collectible:

Collector – Item 26
Once you reach the monster (after the lever puzzles) you have to grapple up to the first floor, before going up further, go to the left to pick up the next collectible. This collectible also unlocks the achievement, but there are more collectibles later. (if you even care)

Collector – Item 27
The next collectible is in the arena with the fat boss, as you run in circles you will come across it:

Redemption (Choice)
As you finish this boss fight you need to choose to kill it, for the Redemption achievement.
After that you will unlock:

Epilogue
After that you will enter the Epilogue, fighting AILA and trying to shut her down for good.
I’m Samuel
Collector – Item 28
The last collectible will be when you enter the crash site with the car hitting the tree. Theres a caravan, and behind it is a figure:

After you defeated the bosses and AILA, you can leave the virtual world and head to your daughters room, which is on the right in the hallway. This will get you to the ending.

Now you can reload the apartment save to get the last achievement, which is:
You’re fired!
To unlock this achievement you need to load back the first apartment save and do not pick up the second package from the delivery drone at the balcony. Just wait a few minutes. I’m not sure how long you have to wait since I did not track that, just know that the achievement will be triggered with a cutscene, where the drone says “Package refused” and the camera goes down the balcony into darkness, triggering the credits.
The End
An interesting game about grief and guilt, I loved the setting changes a lot and absolutely hate that Jones died. Poor cat. F*** THE ROBOTS!!!
